You said no audio and no voice control. iDrive controller is controlled by the CCC not the other way around. The CCC just uses the controller as an input device. It could never prevent audio from working. You can disconnect the controller and still get audio. It's also possible the TCU failed.

If everything is working on radio and just no screen output then its pretty much the video card, however fixing it cost as much as getting a new ccc of ebay…for the android screen they are pretty much reliable, so far i have no problem in mine and love it.

Interestingly it is a known problem with seals on the E60. The seals are renowned for leting water into the boot and the water tends to accumulate in the boot around the controller unit for the Idrive which is near the battery.
Hi, yesterday I did the ambient light in my car but I did not finished, so to be sure that battery will be okay i disconnected the battery for like 24 hours. Today I finished with everything and i found out that my idrive controller is not working. I checked the fuse 29 was fine, but to be sure i replaced him. It is BMW F10 2010.
