I connected an Xbox One S controller to my computer and launched the game, I realized that the declared impulse triggers did not work, although they should (the controller works well, impulse triggers worked fine in the Death Stranding game, which I also bought on Steam).

Important: x360ce.exe version 4 works differently from old version 3. Version 4 creates "Virtual Xbox 360 Controller" inside your Windows operating system when running. Version 4 is no longer use INI or DLL files inside the game folder. This allows for x360ce.exe to support more modern games.
I'm getting the exact same bug, every time I push a button on my xbox controller which is connected wirelessly to my pc it comes up with the 'please connect a controller' prompt and 'push enter' in the bottom left corner, the controller is connected because I push the enter key, then I push a button on my controller and the message comes up again straight away.
